Work is scheduled to begin this week on the roof at the Jefferson public library.
Grell Roofing of Fort Dodge is scheduled to begin work the week of April 8 to replace the rubber membrane and insulation on the 1967 addition and connecting entryway with a Duro-Last membrane system.
The flat roof on the addition was last replaced in 1997. Funding for the roof replacement project will come from local option sales tax earmarked for the maintenance of municipal buildings.
The library will be open regular hours during this project. However, the public is asked to park away from any roofing equipment.
