Brooklyn Olson earned the Ram girls track and field team its only first place finish at the Audubon Early Bird meet Thursday with a first place finish in the discus. Olson threw the discus 115’ 2”. She placed fifth in the shot put with a toss of 31’ 9”.
The shuttle hurdle relay team of Izzy Bravard, Lily Muir, Maddie Van Pelt and Melanie Doran had the best finish in a track event, placing second with a season best time of 1:15.09. The 4 X 100m relay team of Melanie Doran, Paige Heaning, Makala Kafer and Brianna Osterson placed fourth in 56.01 seconds.
Osterson placed third in the 400 m dash with a time of 1:04.55. Kafer placed fourth in the 200m dash with a time of 28.71 seconds. Teammate Maddy Sigler finished in 29.4 seconds, good for sixth place. Bravard placed fourth in the 400m hurdles with a personal record time of 1:17.03, and eighth in the 100m hurdles in 18.23 seconds.
Seventh place finishes came from the 4 X 200m relay team of Megan Doran, Tieryn Tucker, Van Pelt and Janelle Brophy in 2:03.10, and from the distance medley team of Madison Hayes, Sophia Ausberger, Annie Twillie and Kassie Lamoureux with a time of 5:18.89.
