Brown named one of 100 Great Iowa Nurses

Primary nurse in outpatient oncology clinic Greene County Medical Center’s Jessica Brown, RN, was honored as one of 100 Great Iowa Nurses at the 2018 awards ceremony held in Des Moines on Sunday, May 6. Brown has been with the medical center since April 2017 and is the primary nurse for all patients receiving chemotherapy through the outpatient oncology clinic.

Veterans hosting potato bar supper May 19

The local veterans groups will host a potato bar dinner Saturday, May 19, from 5 to 7 pm at the VFW hall on the east side of the courthouse square in Jefferson. The meal will include baked potatoes with all the fixings,  desserts and beverages. A free will donation will be accepted. All are welcome.
