Christmas will be celebrated in Scranton on Wednesday, Dec. 12, with the businesses and city offices hosting open houses in the afternoon. Join your friends in Scranton to greet acquaintances and wish them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
The list of participating locations includes:
B & D Manufacturing: 1 – 3 pm. Gift basket drawing. Register in the Peoples Bank lobby.
John 15 Vineyard: 1 – 4 pm. Check out the delicious things to give to your friends or enjoy yourself made by the Rogers at John 15 Vineyard. Items will be displayed at Peoples Bank. Register for a homemade basket of goodies to be given away.
Landus Cooperative: 1 – 3 pm. “Haul” in some holiday cheer with your friends and enjoy goodies with them.
MacDonald Insurance and Scranton Life and Health: 1 – 4 pm. Greet the staff, pick up a calendar and enjoy popcorn.
Peoples Bank: 1 – 3 pm. Meet your friends at Peoples Bank where you can enjoy a sweet treat.
Public library: 1 – 5 pm. Check out a good book, use the computers and partake in refreshments.
Rudy’s Service and Detail: 1 – 3 pm. Drawing being held in the Peoples Bank lobby.
Scranton City Hall: 1 – 3 pm. Open house in City Hall, located in the Community Center. Please use the east side door. Join the staff for refreshments.
Scranton Machine Shop: 1 – 3 pm. Tom Walker will have his custom designs on display in the Peoples Bank lobby. Register for a chance to win an 18” x 18” custom sign drawing.
Scranton Manufacturing / New Way: 3 – 4 pm. Open house at the front office. Refreshments will be served inside the front entrance. Meet the staff and register for door prizes.
Scranton Telephone Company: 1 – 3 pm. Don’t just call, stop in to visit with your friends and pick up your new phone book while enjoying refreshments.
United Methodist Church: 1 – 3 pm. The Church is collecting nonperishable items for their food drive. Please bring items to Peoples Bank Lobby to be collected by Scranton United Methodist Church.
