All are invited to Jingle into Junction Sunday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 7 pm to enjoy holiday hospitality at the Grand Junction Community Center.
A soup supper in the large Lincoln Highway Room will feature chili, potato and chicken noodle soup with a sandwich, bar and beverage. Free will donation will be accepted.
Persons who would like a meal delivered in Grand Junction should call Grand Junction city hall at 738-2585 by Friday, Nov. 30. Callers should leave their name, address, phone number and the number of meals they’d like. Deliveries will be made at4:45, before Jingle into Junction begins. The delivery crew will pick up donations for the meals then.
The Festival of Trees, Wreaths and Stockings will also be in the Lincoln Highway Room. Some items will be for display only, while others will be available to go home to the high bidder in a silent auction. Bidding will end at 6:30.
Greene County Carolers will sing at 6 pm. At 6:30 the Grand Junction fire and rescue squad will hold its annual turkey drawing.
The Grand Junction library will host Mrs Claus’s bake sale and a quilt raffle in the smaller Junction Room. Santa will also be there with cookies and cocoa.
Jingle into Junction is sponsored by Grand Junction Horizons, fire and rescue,Garden Club, the library, and Diane Wise. Proceeds from Jingle into Junction will go toward the celebration of Grand Junction’s 150 years.
