Rippey Lions Club – The Rippey Lions Club had its regular meeting  Oct. 18 and enjoyed a meal prepared by Phyllis Bardole and helpers.

During the business the Lions Club decided to make a donation to the Greene County Christian Action Resource Center for the building fund. Guests at the meeting were Jean Borgeson and Ada Ross, member of the Greene County Pioneer Cemetery Commission.  Ross shared about the history and current status of the 10 pioneer cemeteries in Greene County. The commission has advocated for the maintenance of the cemeteries to honor those buried there since its organization in 2000. Ada complimented the Washington Township trustees and Dick Bardole for upkeep for the Old Rippey Cemetery and the Bower/Angus Cemetery.

The next meeting will be Nov. 15, at 7 pm at the Rippey United Methodist Church.
