A graveside funeral service for Herbert Drachenberg, 88, of Jefferson will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, at 10:30 am at the Jefferson Cemetery. Pastor Dennis Martins of Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson will officiate.
Herbert was born on Nov. 6, 1929, in Bristol, CT, the second of four children of Emily and Robert Drachenberg, three of whom preceded him in death. Herbert graduated from Concordia Lutheran Seminary in St. Louis, MO, in 1955, and later received a Master of Sacred Theology, also from Concordia.
He married Patricia Daniels of Kansas City, Missouri, in 1956. Herbert served his Lord God as a minister in the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod at many congregations in Ohio and Wisconsin, preaching and teaching both deaf and hearing congregations. Herbert and Patricia, also deceased, were blessed with three children whom they raised to love and honor their Lord Jesus Christ. Herbert’s devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him throughout his life and now gives him peace in the arms of his Creator and Savior.
