Tickets for the 2018 Jefferson Garden Club’s Holiday Tour of Homes are now on sale.
Four Jefferson homes decorated to showcase this year’s theme, Christmas Magic, will be open Saturday, Dec. 1, from noon to 4 pm.
Tickets may be purchased from Garden Club members, and at three Jefferson businesses: Home State Bank, Peoples Bank and The Printer’s Box.
Special features of this year’s tour are two renovated homes, one a family home built in 1949 and the other a spacious rambler overlooking a ravine. A recently remodeled ranch will greet guests with a walled front entry garden. Newly constructed, the last house features stacked stone on its exterior.
On the day of the tour, tickets also will be available in the rotunda of the Greene County courthouse, where Garden Club members will display holiday collections and serve refreshments.
Proceeds from ticket sales are used for community betterment projects, including the Memorial Garden along the Raccoon River Valley Recreation Trail. Jefferson Garden Club has donated to Sally’s Alley, Thomas Jefferson Gardens and the Action Resource Center.
