As summer comes to a close, LifeServe Blood Center is urging donors to get back into the swing of giving blood.
Thirty-eight percent of the American population is eligible to give blood, but only 5 percent of those eligible donors actually roll up their sleeves to save lives. “We need LifeServers to make giving blood a year round habit,” a LifeServe Blood Center spokesperson said.
A blood drive will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 12:30 to 5:30 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church, 801 W. Lincoln Way, in Jefferson.
