48 classic tractors, riders enjoy Scranton ride

The event began and ended in Scranton although some vehicles joined the route in Jefferson as the tractors worked their way through Greene County. Lunch was served at Just One More in Jamaica.

Highway 4 project starts next week

Work on Highway 4 in Jefferson (N. Elm St) will begin next week according to resident engineer Jenny Hoskins of the Iowa Department of Transportation. The road will be resurfaced from Lincoln Way north to Highway 30. A crew will begin patching next week. That will be followed by sidewalk work, and resurfacing will begin in 2-3 weeks.
