Student athletes in fall sports will be saluted at a community pep rally on the downtown square Tuesday, Aug. 21.
The evening begins with the weekly Greene County farmers market from 4 to 6:30 pm. The Greene County Early Learning Center will serve a supper of sloppy Joes, chips, carrots, cookies/bars, and a beverage. There is a charge for the supper.
Youngsters are invited for games and activities from 6 to 6:30 pm on the north and east side of the courthouse. Kids will find a football throw and cross-country races. Cheerleaders will teach cheers and jumps and volleyball players will teach pass and set techniques. The swim team, band and color guard will have a Rams temporary tattoo station.
The pep rally will begin at 6:30 pm with emcee Doug Rieder. He’ll introduce fall coaches who will make remarks.
The rain location is the Greene County Middle School.
