Freedom for Youth Ministries will host Freedom Quest Tuesday, July 31, from 5 to 7 pm at Russell Park in Jefferson. This is a free family event with crafts, games, prizes, food and music. The evening also includes the gospel message of Jesus through fun activities.
Freedom Quest is a traveling ministry event scheduled to be in Jefferson, Chariton, Albia, Creston, Greenfield, Boone and Newton this summer.
“We really see the value in… a sustainable youth center in these communities,” said Freedom for Youth statewide coordinator Leanna Mullin. “[Youth centers are] a consistent place for students to come, as well as a place for individuals to invest in and come and serve.”
Freedom for Youth Ministries launches youth centers throughout the state of Iowa, and the ministry is gearing up to start a center in Jefferson.
“We want to be a part of these communities,” Mullen said. “Anyone who wants to come and enjoy, we would love them to do so.”
