Services were held Sunday, July 22, at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson for Dena Clause, 86, of Jefferson. Adam Glawe and Bruce Webster offered words of comfort. The Peoples Bank Grand Junction branch sponsored free swimming lessons for 30 children at the Grand Junction pool on June 25-29. Lessons were held from 11 am to noon. Children ages 4 or older of all different skill levels were trained by certified lifeguard instructors. Peoples Bank donated $400 to the pool to cover the costs of the lessons.
