Jefferson Telecom has partnered with New Opportunities this year to supply school age children with the basic materials to succeed in school. Last year, roughly 250 children were given all of their school supplies including a backpack due to donations by the community.
Suggested donations are new backpacks, #2 pencils, ink pens – red, blue, and black, glue sticks, wide-ruled spiral notebooks, loose-leaf wide ruled paper, 16 count crayons, and washable markers. Monetary donations are also accepted and will be used to purchase additional supplies that are lacking.
All donations are asked to be donated by August 10. New Opportunities will then take all items and appropriately disperse the materials to the children in need.
