A committee of Scranton residents is heading up the drive to publish a cookbook to compliment the town’s sesquicentennial in 2019. The plans have been made. Now they need recipes.
The group is asking people who have connections to Scranton to submit their recipes for publication by July 1. There is no limit on the number of recipes for submission.
There are three ways to submit your recipes:
• Email to ScrantonRecipes 2018@gmail.com
• Mail to Jan Christian, 602 Madison, Scranton, IA 51462
• Drop off copies on 8-1/2” x 11” paper to the Scranton public library or Scranton office of Peoples Trust & Savings Bank.
Plans are to have the book printed and ready to sell by mid-December. Copies will also be at the Sesquicentennial celebration in June 2019 and at the 2020 Scranton all-school reunion.
The profits from the cookbook sales will be distributed within the Scranton community.
