The Greene County girls golf team was shorthanded going to the South Hamilton Invitational Thursday. With only three golfers the Rams didn’t have a team score, but coach Heath Telleen was pleased with the performance of Ellie Madson.
Madson shot a new career low of 87 and finished third overall in what the coach described as “a very competitive field.” “She is playing with a great deal of confidence at the right time of the year,” Telleen said.
Scores ahead of Madson were a 69 from Gilbert’s Britta Snyder and an 84 from Katie Jenkins, also of Gilbert.
Kaitlyn McColley shot 115 and Mariah Block shot 118.
