The Greene County boys golf team finished in second place, just one stroke behind Ogden, at the Southeast Valley Invitational Friday at the Dayton Golf and Country Club.
Elijah Block was runner-up at the meet with a 44, four strokes behind medalist Jaxon Myers of Southeast Valley. Block shot par on four holes, but a triple bogey on Hole 2, inflated his score.
Other scores adding to the Rams’ 201 were Sawyer Schiltz 49, Curtis Muir 53, ad Ben Wilkens 55. Jadon Block shot 61 and Jared Marshall shot 67.
Team scores were Ogden 200, Greene County 201, Southeast Valley 212 and Glidden-Ralston 220.
The Rams won and Elijah Block was medalist with a 40 at Thursday at Woodlyn Hills Golf Course in Milford Thursday. Ben Wilkins was runner-up medalist with a 42. He and Jadon Block both shot 42, but Wilkins won the honor with a card back.
Muir shot 48, Marshall shot 50, and Travis Gierstorf shot 55.
Team scores were Greene County 172, North Polk 181, and Saydel 182.
