Greene County middle school social studies teacher Tom Braun was presented with a Special A+ Teacher Award by Carroll Broadcasting Company at a student recognition assembly Wednesday.
Nominations were student letters sent to the radio station. John Ryan of Carroll Broadcasting read excerpts from some of the letters before presenting Braun with a crystal apple.
Braun was called “a teacher that cares about every single student,” “a teacher that never gives up on a student,” and “a teacher that makes students feel like they can do whatever they set their minds to.”
Braun was given copies of all the nomination letters and gift certificates from Carroll businesses along with the crystal apple.
He is retiring at the end of the current school year.
