4-H members who want to learn proper welding techniques and put newly acquired skills to use are invited to attend a welding workshop. The workshop is slated for Saturday, April 14, at Greene County High School. The registration deadline is Monday, April 9.
Greene County Extension and Greene County High School staff are partnering to offer the workshop from 9 to 11 am at the ag shop at the high school. Attendees should enter at the shop door on the east side of the building.
Participants will learn basic welding information, safety when welding and more. All supplies will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a welding helmet/gloves if they have them. The workshop is open to youngsters in grades 4-12 who are currently enrolled in 4-H. A parent must sign a waiver prior to youth participating in the workshop.
Instructors for the welding workshop are high school vocational tech instructor Chad Morman, and 4-H volunteers Matt Christensen and Isaac Hoskins.
Cost for the workshop is $20.
