Elementary spring program set for March 29

“Choose Kindness and Respect” is the theme for this year’s Greene County Elementary spring program for grades 1-4. The program will have a different format than in years past. Grades 1-2 will perform at 10 am and at 6 pm. Grades 3-4 will perform at 1:30 and 7:15 pm. All performances will be in the middle school gym.

FFA fish fry March 30

The Greene County FFA will host a fish fry for the community Friday, March 30, from 5 to 6:30 pm in the high school cafeteria. The menu includes tilapia, coleslaw, baked potatoes, dinner rolls, cookies and a beverage. Free will donations will be accepted.

Tasler recognized for 40 years of county service

Greene County recorder Marcia Tasler was honored with a certificate Monday morning recognizing her 40 years of service to the county. The certificate, provided by the Iowa State Association of Counties, was presented by county supervisor Dawn Rudolph. Tasler has been county recorder for 31 years, assuming that office Jan. 1, 1987. She is running for re-election in November.
