To the editor:
Even though I have voted yes on the previous school bonds, I will now say I am glad they did not pass. Voters within the Greene County School District have a unique opportunity during the April 3 school bond/career academy vote. This is not only about building a new school, it is about bringing educational opportunities to our children and growth to Greene County.
To fully understand what the vote would entail, please take the time to watch the “Alternative Concept for the Future of the GCCSD” video, found on the Our Kids – Our Future: Greene County Facebook Page, or by searching for the video by its title on YouTube.
Over the years, I have heard comments regarding the leaders of Greene County missing various opportunities to bring Wal-Mart, Pella Corporation or other businesses to our county. This vote and this opportunity is now the responsibility of we, the people. Please vote Yes on April 3 for Our Kids – Our Future: Greene County.
