The Greene County Ram boys advanced in post-season play with a win Monday over the Panorama Panthers 67-53 in Woodward. It is the first post-season win for the Rams since the Jefferson-Scranton and East Greene reorganized to become Greene County in 2014.
The score was tied at 18 after the first quarter, and the Rams were up by only two points at intermission, 29-27. The Rams dominated in the second half, holding a 40-34 lead at the end of the third quarter. They scored 27 points in the fourth to seal the victory over the 6-15 Panthers.
Senior Wade Adcock had a big night for the Rams, scoring 21 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Senior Joe Towers scored 14 points and had eight rebounds. Junior Trey Hinote scored 13 points, junior Lance Hughes scored 12, senior Jordan Patterson scored four, and seniors Ben Bravard and Austin Easterlie scored two and one point respectively.
Next up for the Rams is a game against Des Moines Christian Thursday at 8 pm at Des Moines Christian. DSM Christian, with a 19-2 record, had a bye in first round play in Class 2A District 15.
