Community events-
Saturday, Feb. 17: Library soup luncheon at the community center from 11:00-2:00. The free-will proceeds will used to supplement the budget.
Rippey United Methodist Church – Pastor Paul is still on vacation. From Feb. 8-18, Pastor Andrea Brownlee from the Perry First Christian Church will be covering pastoral emergencies. Pastor Andrea’s phone number is 515-259-1982.
Bridal shower – Liz Hick was honored with a bridal shower at the Rippey Methodist Church Sunday, Feb. 11. The committee included Brenda Muir, Phyllis Bardole, Jo Bardole, Connie Neese, Yvette Bardole, Lori Bardole, Brenda Roberts, and Mel Graven. They organized a delightful party that was attended by many family and friends. Special guests included Mary Hick, mother of the bride, Marilyn Wunsch, mother of the bridegroom, Pat Milliken, grandmother of Liz, Liz’s great aunt Avis Jantz, Lisa Hick, sister-in-law and Megan Anderson, bridesmaid.
Liz felt very honored to have so many family and friends celebrate with her! Liz is the bride-elect of Adam Wunsch. They plan to be married April 14, 2008 at their acreage north of Boone.
