It’s official – Hairball will add its “Rock & Roll experience” to what Greene County offers when RAGBRAI overnights in Jefferson July 23.
Aaron Harn, chair of the local RAGBRAI entertainment committee, has confirmed that Hairball will perform that evening at the beer tent. The beer tent will most likely be located in the 100 block of E. State St as it was when Jefferson hosted RAGBRAI 10 years ago.
Hairball pays homage to acts like Van Halen, KISS, Motley Crue, Queen, Journey and Aerosmith in a show that includes lights, sound, video screens, smoke, flames, confetti, and even spiders, snakes and monsters.
Hairball has made several RAGBRAI appearances and has been a crowd-pleaser every time.
The first local planning meeting was held Thursday morning with initial co-chairs Matt and Toni Wetrich, RAGBRAI treasurer Nikki Uebel, committee members Aaron Harn and Brett Cranston, and the advisory committee, which will deal with any bumps encountered by the various committees.
Leading the meeting were RABGRAI director T.J. Juskiewicz and assistant director Scott Garner. They left behind copies of the 300-page planning manual the committees will use as a guide.
