The Jefferson city council’s water/sewer and street/sanitation committees will meet Tuesday, Jan. 16, at noon in the council room at the municipal building at 220 N. Chestnut St. The agenda includes items of ongoing interest in the community including an update on a railroad quiet zone, the E. Lincoln Way entry to the city, and a walkway to Greenewood Road.

In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered Jan. 10 against Christopher Wade Lindaman of Jefferson on a charge of theft- fifth degree. He was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative surcharge. He must also pay $80.25 restitution to H-Vee and $360 court costs.
