For the first time, the Democratic Party central committees of Carroll, Crawford, and Greene Counties are hosting a joint rally in anticipation of the 2018 election season.
On Saturday, January 20, at 6 pm in the Templeton Center Grand Hall, local Democrats and their friends will gather together to meet the candidates running for office in federal, state, and local races, learn more about opportunities to engage in the political process in 2018, and be inspired by the new wave of public servants who are eager to earn their support.
Among the many special guests who will be speaking at the rally are:
• Iowa Democratic Party chair Troy Price
• Dr. Andy McGuire, Fred Hubbell, Mayor Ross Wilburn, and John Norris, Democratic candidates for Governor of Iowa
• Iowa Secretary of State candidate Jim Mowrer
• J.D. Scholten and Dr. John Paschen, candidates for U.S. Congress from Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District
• Congressman John Delaney, 2020 candidate for President
Dinner will be served and a cash bar will be available. There is a charge to attend. A limited number of tables are also available for purchase.
