If you haven’t already read GreeneCountyNewsOnline’s recap of 2017 and preview of 2018 under the News tab, go back and take a look. Some major community projects saw completion in 2017 while others are just getting launched as 2018 begins.
Stories in 2017 made us proud, angry, sad, excited, optimistic – all those things that make life such an interesting journey. The common element in the stories is that they were all written with an eye first on accuracy, and second, on balance, allowing you to draw your own conclusions once you have all the available information.
And, it was all free. GreeneCountyNewsOnline is, and always will be, a free news source focusing on Greene County. Advertisers allow that to happen.
You, too, can help assure the long term viability of GCNO. Tell advertisers you appreciate seeing their support of GCNO and encourage your favorite businesses to do the same.
Scroll down the ad rail to the “Donate” button and make a donation to GCNO. Or, mail a donation to PO Box 343, Jefferson, IA 50129. Reader donations provide not only financial support, but also encouragement and affirmation of the benefit of providing news at no charge.
Now through the end of January, all reader donations will be acknowledged with a 2018 desk calendar featuring pictures of favorite events and places in Greene County. The calendar is a convenient size and is a nice reminder to check GreeneCountyNewsOnline often, not only on Wednesday Newsday and Good News Sunday, but every day of the week.
I hope all your news is good news in 2018.
