Since interest has increased in home brewing beer, more people in Iowa are talking about hops, one of the more “specialized” ingredients in beer. Ram vball team has frustrating outing to N. Polk

The Ram varsity volleyball team lost three games to North Polk in Polk City Tuesday. Game scores were 12-25, 12-25, 14-25. “We just couldn’t find any rhythm to our play this evening. We had moments where everything clicked and we played well. North Polk was just able to capitalize on our frustration,” coach Donna Carhill said.

‘Solid’ meet for Ram cross country teams

The Greene County Ram cross country teams competed at the South Central Calhoun Invitational in Lake City Tuesday. Coach Jeff Lamoureux described it as “another solid meet for Greene County.” The girls varsity team finished fourth of 12 teams and the boys finished 11th of 14 teams.

Babysitting Basics class slated for Oct. 18, Oct. 21
