Rippey community announcements
Rippey library board of trustees will meet Monday, Nov. 27, at 5 pm in the library. Note the change of time.
Wednesday, Nov. 22, Rippey UMC Thanksgiving Services invites:
• 7 pm – Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service @ First Christian Church – Pastor Paul preaching.
• 7 pm – Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service @ Grand Junction UMC.
Reminder: Music recital Sunday, Dec. 3, at 5:30 pm. in the Rippey Community Room.
Students of Janice Johnston will entertain family and friends at their recital. All are welcome to attend. Violin students performing will be Ethan Hooper of Grand Junction and Summer South of Coon Rapids. Piano students performing are Daniel Cerveny and Joshuah Sparks of Jefferson, Keegan and Taylor Lawrence of Rippey, and JoAllyn Rowe of Rippey. Becca Davis and Tessa Fisher Kern of Rippey will read poems and sing. Come enjoy the music, sing holiday songs, and enjoy refreshments following.
Rippey Lions club – The Rippey Lions club met Nov. 16 and enjoyed a delicious meal prepared and served by Bev Derry and Marilyn Millard and helpers. During the business the meeting president Nancy Hanaman thanked all for their help with the recent spaghetti supper.
The group began plans for the BRR Ride and decided to be sponsors for another year. They also began making plans for a breakfast event in March. Following the meeting, Dick Bardole shared the interesting journey of his current building project with pictures and commentary thanking family and friends for their assistance.
The next meeting will be Dec. 7 with the Christmas potluck at 7 pm at the Rippey United Methodist Church. Mark and Cindy Devilbiss are coordinators for the meal and Maralynn and Myron Rinker are in charge of the program. Nancy Hanaman reporting
