The lobby and corridor at Greene County Medical Center is a preview of the holiday season, with the medical center auxiliary’s “Holiday of Lights” under way.
This year’s silent auction includes more than 40 wreaths, Christmas trees, porch decorations and table centerpieces.
As in past years, there’s a wide variety of offerings, from a Christmas tree Oscar the Grouch very sophisticated wreaths and centerpieces.
Medical center departments, local organizations, businesses and individuals have decorated the items. Not only is the Holiday of Lights festive, it’s a good fundraiser as well. Funds raised this year will go toward the medical center’s anticipated purchase of a 3D mammogram machine.
Bidding ends Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 3 pm, so successful bidders can have the items in their homes for the holidays.
