Greene County senior Haley Hall qualified for the Class 2A state cross country meet by finishing in 12th place at the qualifying meet Thursday at the Lake City Country Club.
Hall’s time was 22:41.54. She’ll run in the state meet Oct. 28 in Fort Dodge.
The Ram girls finished sixth in team rankings. Conner Allender finished 21stin 23:39.05. Bailey Cunningham finished right behind her with a time of 23:49. Kassie Lamoureux was 26th in 24:03.59, Ashlee Harmeyer was 33rd in 24:28.76, Regan Lamoureux was 40th in 25:11.22 and Izzy Bravard was 42nd in 25:20.83.
Atlantic will be in the team competition at the state meet, finishing first in team points with 60 points. Other team scores were Okoboji 64, Aplington-Parkersburg 95, Pocahontas Area 99, Red Oak 101, Greene County 103, Southeast Valley 187, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows 208, South Central Calhoun 252, and Van Meter 260.
Luis Valazco was the first Ram boy to cross the finish line in 19:39.97, good for 31st place. Garrett Tasler was 36th in 19:46.6 , Nic Killion was 44th in 20:04.00, Brian Hardaway was 78th in , 22:27.20, Trevor Lebeck was 83rd in 22:51.07, Josh Ewalt was 90th in 25:04.61, and Anthony Tolsdorf was 91st in 25:34.42.
Team scores were Sheldon 67, Oboboji 72, Aplington-Parkersburg 78, Clarion-Goldfield-Dows 144, South Central Calhoun 178, Shenandoah 183, Red oak 191, Southeast Valley 218, Southwest Iowa 218, Clarinda 241, Greene County 272, Van Meter 288, Pocahontas Area 332, and East Sac County 377.
