The next discussion meeting on the Connecting Parks and Schools plan in Jefferson is slated for Thursday, Oct. 26, at 5:30 pm at the Greene County Community Center.
Iowa State landscape architect student Zoey Mauch, who is writing the plan, will share what she has incorporated since the meeting earlier this month and again gather input.
The plan includes ways to connect the parks, schools, and other public places in Jefferson with multi-use trails for bicyclists and pedestrians. Jefferson park and recreation director Vicky Lautner said the plan will be available should grant opportunities arise.
