The sometimes difficult question of “what goes with what” is the topic of Wine and Cheese 101, hosted by ISU Extension & Outreach – Greene County and Jefferson Hy-Vee. The “course” will offer adults a fun evening learning the basics of pairings and enjoying samples.
The second session of the Greene Living series will be Thursday, Oct. 19, from 6 to 7:30 pm at the depot in Jefferson. Tickets are $15 per person through Oct. 17, and $20 after. Reservations can be made by calling 515-386-2138, by emailing xgreene@iastate.edu, or in person at the Extension office at 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson.
The Greene Living series explores how we live today and ways to improve the quality of your life. Lori Mannel, county Extension director, describes it as “4-H for grown-ups!”
Upcoming events in the series include Baking for the Holidays with Marianne Carlson on Nov. 14 and Relax & Enjoy a Stress-free Holiday on Dec. 4.
