The Ram varsity volleyball team played its annual cancer awareness match Tuesday when they hosted the Roland-Story Norsemen. Game scores were 23-25, 13-25, 21-25.
“The team wanted this match to be a worthy competition in honor of our focus on pancreatic cancer awareness. I believe we gave our fans a competitive match to watch for this special evening. Especially in the first and third games, we were competitive to the end,” coach Donna Carhill said.
Samantha Hardaway served at nine for nice and had 13 digs. Sophie Havens served at nine for 10 with one ace and had five kills. Megan Durbin had 14 kills and 12 digs. Lilly Muir served at 11 for 12 with two aces, Chantel Flack had eight digs, and Aubrey Heupel had 24 assists.
“We struggled a bit with our serving, but seemed to get our offensive timing more accurate than we have been in the past few weeks. As we enter this last half of our season, we will continue to refine our defense and work for more consistency in our serving and our offense,” Carhill said.
