The Paton-Churdan volleyball team topped Woodbine at home Tuesday by scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-9.
Coach Tom Kennedy reports that senior Grace Geisler was 8 for 9 serving with five aces. Junior Megan Carey was 7 for 10 with seven aces, and senior Faith Davis was 8 for 14 with one ace.
The win over Woodbine is the team’s third consecutive win, as they topped CAM 3-1 on Sept. 7 at home and Orient-Macksburg Sept. 11, also at home. The Rockets lost their first four matches, losing three at the Coon Rapids tournament on Sept. 2 (Panorama 1-2, AHSTW 0-2, and Atlantic 0-2) and losing to Exira-EHK 0-3 in Elk Horn Sept. 5.
The Rockets are 10-10 in games.
They play next at the Carroll tournament on Sept. 16.
