The Greene County varsity volleyball team opened in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference with a win over Saydel at Saydel.
Game scores were 25-13, 25-22, 25-18.
“This is a great way to start our conference season,” coach Donna Carhill said. “I thought we showed tenacity in our second game as we came back from a 5-point deficit to win that game. All in all, it was a good win for us as we dive into our season.”
Megan Durbin led in kills with 16, served at 21 of 23, and had 11 digs. Samantha Hardaway had 10 kills and served at 15 of 15. Aubrey Heupel had 27 assists and Chantel Flack had 12 digs.
