U.S. Cellular recently launched the Most Valuable Coach program, a campaign to highlight and recognize current active head or assistant high school athletic head coaches who have made a profound impact on an individual, school or community. Fifteen coaches will receive $5,000 grants for their school, and the winning coach will receive a $50,000 grant for his or her community.
U.S. Cellular is encouraging people to nominate a current high school coach by visiting TheMostValuableCoach.com and sharing their story about why the coach is “most valuable.”
Anyone ages 13 or older is eligible to nominate a coach with all nominations due by Sept. 11. Nominations will be narrowed down to the top 50 coaches and then online voting will take place to determine the top 15.
Each of the final 15 coaches will win $5,000 for their school. U.S. Cellular, in partnership with Samsung, will honor the winner with a $50,000 community grant. The contest is intended to recognize the best head and assistant high school athletic coaches within U.S. Cellular’s licensed markets.
