Thursday, Aug. 31: At 5:17 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 800 block of 8th St in Scranton.
Wednesday, Aug. 30: At 11:04 am a deputy conducted a traffic stop and arrested Tunney Merrill, 18, of Mapleton for possession of a controlled substance- first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and carrying weapons*. At 3:34 p a deputy investigate a suspicious person in the 100 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
At 4:20 pm a deputy arrested Dray Rivera, 27, of Jefferson on arrest warrants for trespass, burglary- third degree and harassment- third degree. At 5:06 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 400 block of 8th St S. in Grand Junction*. At 7:10 pm Takyla Pittman, 28, of Perry was booked into the jail for possession of methamphetamine- first offense, possession of marijuana- first offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia*. At 9;48 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 900 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction.
Tuesday, Aug. 29: At 8:59 am a deputy investigated a burglary in the 200 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 5:51 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 600 block of Jefferson St in Scranton. At 10:15 pm a deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 1100 block of Lincoln St in Scranton.
Monday, Aug. 28: At11:48 am a deputy investigated a burglary in the 2200 block of F Ave in Willow Township. At 12:20 pm a deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 400 block of S. 9th St in Grand Junction. At 6:18 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of cattle in a field in the 100 block of T Ave in Paton Township. At 8:38 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint inn the 600 block of Jefferson St in Scranton.
Sunday, Aug. 27: At 8:44 am a deputy investigated a fire alarm in the 200 block of Main St in Paton. There was no fire. At 8:55 am a deputy investigated an animal neglect complaint in the 400 block of Madison St in Scranton. At 9:49 am a deputy investigated a suspicious substance in the 1100 block of State St in Scranton.
Saturday, Aug. 26: At 7:29 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of a male acting aggressively in the 1800 block of Highway 30 in Grand Junction. Bradley Wolf, 43, of Cedar Rapids was arrested for disorderly conduct*.
Friday, Aug. 25: At 1:19 pm a deputy investigated a violation of a protective order in the 700 block of S. 12th St in Grand Junction. At 3:42 pm a deputy investigated a theft of a cash box at Spring Lake. At 10:23 pm a deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 200 block of N. 13th St in Grand Junction.

Wednesday, Aug. 23: At 9:02 am a deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 1000 block of E. Railroad St in Grand Junction. At 6:51 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 400 block of Lovejoy St in Rippey.
Tuesday, Aug. 22: At 12:26 pm a deputy investigated a car in the ditch at 2nd and North 18th Sts in Grand Junction. William Staebler, 79, of Ogden was backing up and slid into the ditch. There was no damage to the 2015 Chevy Impala. At 12:34 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 300 block of North 17th St in Grand Junction. At 2:12 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle driving around Churdan. At 4:47 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of Head St in Churdan.
Monday, Aug. 21: At 5:08 pm a deputy investigated a single vehicle rollover accident on Highway 4 at 265th St. A 17-year-old male, who was not named in the sheriff’s information, was operating a 2006 Jeep Wrangler owned by Robert Schroeder of Scranton. The driver lost control and rolled into the west ditch and struck a utility pole. He was not injured. The vehicle was a complete loss. Damage to the utility pole was estimated at $1,000. At 5:40 pm a deputy investigated a 911 hang up in the 500 block of S. 12th St in Grand Junction. At 6:30 pm a deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on 190th St near Highway 144 in Junction Township. Joey Holmberg, 54, of Norwalk was turning around on the gravel road and slid into the ditch. There was no damage to the 2008 Chevrolet Impala. At 8:35 pm a deputy investigated a noise complaint in the 300 block of N. 17th St in Grand Junction.
Sunday, Aug. 20: At 3:12 pm a deputy investigated a vehicle fire in the 700 block of Harding Street in Churdan. Kelsey Coffin, 23, of Grand Junction had a 2017 Venom X22 motorcycle running in the driveway and stated that it just caught fire. The motorcycle was a total loss. The Churdan fire department put the fire out. At 5:36 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 1100 block of Lincoln St in Scranton. At 6:10 pm a deputy investigated a domestic assault in the 500 block of Lincoln St in Scranton. Mikael Winblad, 36, of Scranton was arrested for domestic abuse assault and child endangerment*.
Saturday, Aug. 19: At 12:43 pm a deputy investigated a two car accident on Highway 144 at County Road E-26 at Dana. Thomas Kennedy, 49, of Jefferson was stopped at the stop sign on E-26 and did not see Bonnie Subbert, 69, of Paton, who was northbound on Highway 144. Kennedy pulled out in front of Subbert’s vehicle. There were no injuries. Damage to Subbert’s 2004 Buick LeSabre was estimated at $2,500. Damage to Kennedy’s 2004 Ford Expedition was estimated at $1,000. At 7:45 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 700 block of North St in Churdan. At 9:09 pm a deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on County Road E-18 just west of Paton. Delores Gross, 46, of Churdan rolled her 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer into the ditch. John Grayson, 47, of Churdan was a passenger and was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Des Moines. Gross was arrested for operating while intoxicated- second offense and cited for failure to maintain control*. Her vehicle was a total loss.
Friday, Aug. 18: At 12:45 pm a deputy located an overturned tractor in the ditch in the 300 block of P Ave in Dawson Township. There was nobody near the tractor. The deputy located the owner, Richard Burnell, 70, of Paton at the Greene County Medical Center with minor injuries. Burnell stated that he was mowing a ditch and tried to back down the ditch and the tractor rolled onto its side. There was minor damage to the cab of the tractor. At 12:53 pm a deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle in the 300 block of 13th St in Grand Junction. At 5:25 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle at 230th St and I Ave in Jackson Township. At 7:37 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious person at Highway 144 and County Road E-57 west of Rippey.
Thursday, Aug. 17: At 7:42 am a deputy investigated a single car accident at Highways 30 and 144 at Grand Junction. Larry Knight, 70, of Boone was westbound on Highway 30 when a semi tractor-trailer pulled out in front of him. Knight took evasive action and went into the ditch. Damage to Knight’s 2009 Ford F150 pickup truck was estimated at $500. At 11:01 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 300 block of Howard St in Rippey. At 12:01 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 800 block of 8th St in Scranton. At 4:03 pm a deputy investigated a dog bite in the 600 block of 13th St in Grand Junction.
Wednesday, Aug. 16: At 4:28 am the sheriff and a deputy assisted the Boone County sheriff’s office with a high speed chase that ended in the 2400 block of 180th St in Greene County. The vehicle was located and the driver was gone. Boone County is filing for arrest warrants for the driver. At 4:15 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of 14th and Hager Sts in Grand Junction.

Monday, Aug. 14: At 6:17 am a deputy picked up a German shepard in the 300 block of Hager St in Grand Junction. The dog was taken to PAWS. At 12:02 pm a deputy investigated a counterfeit $20 bill in the 700 block of 14th St S in Grand Junction. At 12:44 pm a deputy investigated an assault at Spring Lake. At 1 pm a deputy investigated criminal mischief to a building in the 1100 block of Sand St in Churdan. At 2:28 pm a deputy investigated criminal mischief to two vehicles in the 600 block of Jefferson St in Scranton. At 3 pm a deputy investigated harassment in the 600 block of Jefferson St in Scranton. At 3:32 pm a deputy investigated a fraud complaint in the 100 block of Sunset St in Grand Junction. At 5:29 pm a deputy investigated a single car accident on 230th St just east of Grand Junction. The deputy found a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis in the ditch.
Sunday, Aug. 13: At 2:27 am a deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 200 block of Wise St in Paton. At 3:17 am a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with an arrest in the 700 block of N. Cedar St. At 10:49 am a deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle at County Road P-14 (I Ave) and 160th St in Bristol Township. At 11:50 am a deputy investigated a complaint of pigs being on the roadway at 260th St and Highway 144 in Junction Township. At 1:35 pm a deputy investigated a trespass complaint of dirt bikes south of Highway 30 and County Road P-14 (J Ave).

Main St in Grand Junction. At 3 pm a deputy investigated criminal mischief in the 800 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 6:35 pm a deputy arrested Rodney Blackmon, 22, of Grand Junction on an arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance- first offense*. At 7;29 pm a deputy assisted the Dallas County sheriff’s office with a hit and run. At 7:31 pm a deputy arrested Dray Rivera, 27, of Jefferson for arrest warrants for forgery and possession of drug paraphernalia*. At 7:59 pm a deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint in the 1000 block of Livingston St in Churdan. At 11:19 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of Jefferson St in Scranton.
Friday, Aug. 11: At 9:47 am a deputy investigated a theft in the 1100 block of 330th St in Greenbrier Township. At 2:02 pm a deputy assisted a probation officer at the court house. At 2:57 pm a deputy tried to locate a wanted person in Grand Junction. At 8:25 pm a deputy investigated a domestic assault in the 1900 block of Locust St in Scranton. At 10:12 pm a deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on Highway 30 near Scranton. At 10:26 pm a deputy investigated an animal neglect case in the 300 block of 17th St in Grand Junction.

Beth Lappegard, 23, of Perry will be charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.* At 11:14 am a deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 400 block of 19th St N. in Grand Junction. At 11:49 am a deputy investigated vandalism to the Highland Township Cemetery in Churdan. At 2:24 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1000 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 8:31 pm a deputy investigated a complaint of power lines down along Highway 30 east of Grand Junction.

At 3:02 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 800 block of Percival St in Grand Junction. At 7:59 pm a deputy investigated domestic assault in a moving vehicle. Matthew Hall, 40, of Huxley was located and arrested for operating while intoxicated- second offense*.

At 7:20 pm a deputy investigated a theft in the 1200 block of Neola Ave in Grant Township. At 7:41 pm a deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on Highway 4 east of Churdan. Monday, Aug. 7: At 2:51 pm a deputy arrested Kyle Rysavy, 18, of Jefferson on Boone County arrest warrant for failure to appear. At 4:22 pm a deputy located a missing person from Montgomery County on Highway 30 just west of Jefferson.
Sunday, Aug. 6: At 8:43 pm a deputy investigated a suspicious person walking in Grand Junction.
Saturday, Aug. 5: At 12:22 am a deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 900 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. At 8:26 pm a deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of S. 13th St in Grand Junction. At 9:18 pm a deputy investigated a large fire in the 800 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. It was found to be controlled burn in a fire pit. At 10:10 pm a deputy investigated cattle out on 330th St near A Ave in Willow Township.
Friday, Aug. 4: At 5:43 am a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with a burglary in the 200 block of E. Perry St. At 12:56 pm a deputy investigated a burglary in the 400 block of S. 9th St in Grand Junction. At 2:04 pm a deputy recovered a stolen vehicle that was hidden on County Road E-18 (130th St) and County Road P-33 (S Ave). At 3:50 pm a deputy investigated a missing person report in the 400 block of E. Main St in Grand Junction. The persons were located walking a few blocks away. At 4:45 pm a deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 400 block of S. 9th St in Grand Junction. At 5:04 pm a deputy investigated an aggressive dog in the 500 block of 12th St in Grand Junction.
Thursday, Aug. 3: At 6:55 am a deputy investigated a criminal mischief complaint at a construction site on Highway 30 (no other location given).
Wednesday, Aug. 2: At 6:56 pm a deputy assisted the Jefferson PD with a gas drive-off. At 9:57 pm a deputy investigated an assault in the 700 block of 12th St South in Grand Junction.
Tuesday, Aug. 1: At 12:01 am a deputy investigated a single vehicle accident at 1st and Cartwright Sts in Rippey. Farrald Andre, 47, of Tucson, AZ, was operating a 2017 Freight Liner. As he was backing the rig Andre struck a power pole, causing three poles to break and the power line and phone line to come down on the truck. There was minimal damage to the trailer of the semi. An estimated of damage to poles and utility lines is pending. At 2:17 pm a deputy investigated a dog bite that was reported by staff at Greene County Medical Center. At 7:06 pm a deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 100 block of 2nd St in Rippey. At 11:49 pm a deputy investigated a loud noise complaint at S. Kelly and 9th St in Grand Junction.
