In Greene County district court Jacob Monroe Cullum, 31, of Paton was sentenced Aug. 15 to 90 days in jail after he pleaded guilty to a charge of assault- serious, amended from domestic abuse assault display or use weapon. All but two days of the jail time was suspended and he was placed on informal probation for one year. He must pay sheriff’s room and board fees for the time he serves. Cullum was fined $315 with a $110.15 surcharge. He must pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees to be determined and $414.35 court costs. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)
Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignment as follows: Shawn J. Gifford, 26, of Jefferson, driving while license barred; Laura Ann Ditzler, 44, of Afton, operating while intoxicated- first offense; and Bryce Daniel Burkhardt, 18, of Jefferson, OWI- first offense. Trial dates were set for Oct. 31 in every case.
