The Scranton United Methodist Church is the scene of an ice cream social Thursday, Aug. 24, starting at 5 pm at the church.
A free will offering will be accepted. The event is a fundraiser for Mitchell Stevens, a Greene County High School student who will visit Europe next summer with the Iowa Ambassadors of Music.
The menu for the ice cream social includes maidrite sandwiches, chips, pies and bars, Picket Fence Creamery ice cream and toppings, and beverages.
All are invited.
