Tiffany Smith of Jefferson will have her photo of Brown Bridge featured on the cover the 2017-18 Jefferson Telecom telephone directory. As winner of Jefferson Telecom’s directory photo contest, Smith won $100 in Greene County Chamber Checks.
Smith took the photo at the Brown Bridge access three miles north of Scranton on County Road E-33 as the sun was setting in July 2017. She shot this photo as she entered the North Raccoon River off the boat ramp to fish. A concrete boat ramp, fishing riffle, and parking lot have been developed at the access. Catfish, walleye, and smallmouth bass are most common species caught.
More than 80 entries were submitted for this year’s contest. All entries can be viewed on the Jefferson Telecom Facebook page and at www.jeffersontelecom.com/photo-contest.
