Bells, Shades of Blue highlights of festival
For many, the highlights of the 37th annual Bell Tower Festival were musical. Rick Morain performed the first live concert on the new 47-bell, four octave carillon atop the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower Friday preceding the festival’s opening ceremony.

The NEW Cooperative Foundation has again shown its commitment to supporting local 4-H programs by donating $43,545 to area 4-H groups. The money is donated for half of each youth 4-H member’s dues in NEW Cooperative trade area, which includes Greene, Webster, Calhoun, Carroll, Franklin, Sac, Pocahontas, Humboldt, Hamilton, Kossuth, Cherokee, Plymouth, Monona and Woodbury counties.
