In Greene County district court Thomas Todd Mertz, 58, of Perry was sentenced June 9 to two days in jail after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of operating while intoxicated- first offense. He may complete a 48-hour weekend offender program in lieu of the jail time. He must also complete the recommendations of a substance abuse evaluation he has already undergone and a community college drinking driver’s course. Mertz was fined $1,250 with a $437.50 surcharge and a $10 surcharge for drug abuse resistance education. Court costs were $100. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Kester)
Rick Thomas Weiss, 47, of Fort Dodge pleaded not guilty to a charge of OWI- first offense. A trial date was set for July 18.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Chantelle Lee Wolf, 33, of Rhodes has been charged with burglary- third degree- motor vehicle and unauthorized use of credit card less than $1000. The warrant was issued April 29 and returned June 2.
Information is available since the return of an arrest warrant that Mark David Burgart, 40, of Churdan has been charged with burglary- third degree. The warrant was issued May 16 and returned June 1.
