The Jefferson municipal swimming pool opens for the season this Saturday, May 27. Free day passes are available for Saturday to celebrate Beta Tau Delta’s 100th anniversary. Call the Greene County Community Center at 515-386-3412 for more information.
Regular hours at the pool will be unchanged from recent years, with an adult lap swim from 11:30 am to 1 pm and open swimming from 1 to 8 pm. Family hour is designated rom 5:30 to 6:30 pm – all children must be accompanied by an adult during that time.
The pool will be open for regular hours Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28, and on Memorial Day, May 29.
Tuesday through Friday, May 30-June 2, the pool will be open from 11:30 am to 1 pm for lap swimming, from 4 to 6:30 for open swim, with the usual family hour from 5:30 to 6:30.
The pool will begin its normal schedule Saturday, June 3 – lap swim from 11:30 am to 1 pm, and open swim from 1 to 8 pm, with family hour from 5:30 to 6:30.
Four sessions of swimming lessons are scheduled: a one-week free session sponsored by Home State Bank June 19-23; a one-week free session sponsored by Farmers Mutual Insurance June 26-30; a two-week paid session July 10-13 and July 17-20; and a one-week paid evening session July 24-28.
