An Eagle Court of Honor was held last Sunday at the Elks lodge in Jefferson for Austin Wailes, 17, son of Andrea and Brett Wailes of Scranton. The Court of Honor was performed by members of Boy Scout Troop 534, with Austin’s younger brother Nathan Wailes as senior patrol leader.

Clay Ross named Friend of Education
Clay Ross was named May 3 as the 2017 Friend of Education by the Greene County Education Association. Clay Ross is very active in the Community Players of Greene County, and it was his assistance with student drama productions at the high school and middle school that prompted teacher Darren Jackson to nominate him for the award.
