A group of Greene County elementary teachers started their school day at 6:30 am on Wednesdays in April to make time for a study of the book “Transforming School Culture” by Anthony Muhammad.
Through the book study, teachers learned a framework for understanding how school cultures operate and how staff can continue to grow relationships and create a positive atmosphere for all, staff and students alike.
School principal Scott Johnson said the teachers will close out the school year putting what they learned into practice.
Author Muhammad will provide two professional development sessions for all Greene County teachers next year (Jan. 22 and March 30) on the topic of transforming school culture.
