Sheriff’s deputy Christopher Frehse was introduced at the county supervisors’ meeting Monday.
Frehse was born in Storm Lake and grew up in Humboldt. He is an Army veteran and holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Iowa State University.
He has already begun his training with the sheriff’s office and will attend the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy next fall.
County sheriff Jack Williams still plans to hire another deputy for a new position funded in the budget year that starts July 1. There will then be the sheriff, one chief deputy, and six deputies.
