Couples are encouraged to enrich the quality of their relationship with Greene/Guthrie County Extension’s ELEVATE workshop.
The workshop is scheduled Saturday, April 22, from 8 am to 4 pm at the United Methodist Church in Panora. Cost is $10 per couple and all meals and snacks are provided, plus gas and babysitting stipends are available upon request. Dr David Brown, human sciences family life specialist with ISU Extension & Outreach will lead the day’s activities.
ELEVATE includes interactive couples activities, small group discussion, mindfulness practice, and short videos. Couples will learn how to create a healthier living style and nurture psychological wellbeing; identify choices that lay a strong foundation for their relationship; learn about themselves and each other and what they each bring to the relationship; create meaningful couple time that fosters friendship; show kindness, understanding, respect and caring for each other; regulate emotions, manage stress and improve conflict management; and identify personal and community resources to support their relationship.
