Greene County Extension partnered with several local businesses this winter to put on HOWL (Healthy Organized Wellness and Living) camp. These activities promote healthy living habits and the opportunity for 5th-8th graders to explore yoga, gardening, and now, kickboxing.
Partnering with the Greene County Community Center, Get Moving: Kickboxing & More will meet Wednesday, April 12, from 2 to 3 pm. Cost to attend is $5.
“These clubs are a great way for youth to get to know some of the local businesses in Greene County said Kayla Hyett, Greene County Extension’s county youth & 4-H coordinator. “HOWL provides youth with an understanding of living a healthy life and the skills to do so.
To sign up for kickboxing, please contact the Extension office at 104 W. Washington St in Jefferson, call 515-386-2138, or email Hyett at khyett@iastate.edu.
