March 24, 2017 This week we passed a series of bills on the floor. Next week will be our second funnel week in the Legislature. The second funnel is when Senate bills need to be out of House committees and House bills out of Senate committees in order to be considered for the remaining weeks of this legislative session.

Jefferson Elks Lodge #2306, in cooperation with the Iowa Elks Association, is bringing Ray Lozano to the Greene County Middle School and High School Wednesday, March 29. Lozano is a drug and substance prevention specialist and youth speaker. Lozano will speak at the middle school from 8:45 to 9:45 am and from 10 to 11 am at the high school.
